Can I get a PNG instead of an SVG?
Not from this tool. It only returns SVG. That covers pretty much every use, since browsers, design apps, and print shops all open SVG files. If you do need a PNG, open the SVG in any image editor or browser and export it at the size you want.
What can I encode in a QR code?
Any text up to about 4,000 characters. Common uses include URLs, Wi-Fi network credentials (WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;;), vCard contact info, email addresses, and plain text messages.
